(Wise, great speaker)
Crouchcall was Oasisclan's first medicine cat, wise and refined. She was Flintstar's first mate and even though she was getting on in moons even then, she bore two litters before their courting period was up and remained a loyal friend to him ever since. However, she was old even at the start of the clan and most of her time in it's recorded history was spent as an elder.
Flintstar, originally Flinteyes, was Oasisclan's first leader. Strong, charismatic, he won just about every challenge he ever faced- and even for the ones he lost, it's suspected he allowed them to do so. As Oasisclan's most powerful member however, he outlived three deputies.
The first was Weedheart, his close friend and companion... until he assumed that any shecat he won the right to court in a challenge had to do anything he wanted. His mate, Chestnutcatch, wanted nothing to do with it and broke off the courtship early, infuriating him. In retaliation, Weedheart killed her, and the clan was immediately horrified. Flintstar struck Weedheart down without hesitation, but remained closed off after that. Very few could claim to know what was truly on the leader's mind past that point.
Opalsplash was the next deputy, friendly and loving, to the clan to match what openness Flintstar could no longer provide, but a monster sent him to the elder's den early and he eventually died of old age with no descendants as he could no longer make challenges to court shecats.
The third deputy was Dapplebreeze, another one of the original members of the clan. Dapplebreeze's personality was considered too violent by many to make him a good fit for the job, but it was hard to argue with his level of experience after Opalsplash died. However, he inevitably bit off more than he could chew, being killed by a coyote.
And so finally Icethorn was elected, Flintstar's fourth deputy and eventual successor.Hopspeckle was Flintstar's eldest son and was considered... odd by many. He had his father's skills in battle but seemed to have trouble taking anything seriously, constantly wandering off on his own outside of patrols. Many thought he would inevitably be killed in a challenge or picked off by a predator, but his death was far more dire. A harsh leafbare brought disease into the clan, and even though he seemed healthy enough, Hopspeckle passed away suddenly in his sleep- a tragedy in a clan that values going out with a bang.
While Crouchcall was the clan's first medicine cat and did her job well, Raggedclaw is easily the clan's most beloved healer. She's well muscled with a large and intimidating appearance, but her personality is anything but. Raggedclaw is an incredibly kind woman with an incredible skill in interpreting prophecies, making her role in the clan equivalent to Icestar in terms of authority. Very few would go against her word... but why would you want to? You'd be making Raggedclaw sad. :C After a long period without kits, Shytail finally courted her favor, the two of them having a quiet, appreciative relationship.
One of the founders of Oasisclan, Honeyclaw was the first to help stake out her clanmates claim. Her name is accurate- she can go from sweet to sharp in the blink of an eye, and singlehandedly cleared out their territory of rogues and smaller predators. Even though she's an elder now, she hasn't lost her touch- all of the apprentices suddenly sit up straight when she walks by. And yet, as time went by, she felt out of place, a relic of an earlier time... seeing that she was no longer needed, she slowly faded and passed away.
Easily the prettiest cat in the clan and he knows it. For years, through his warrior ceremony, Fernstem patrolled with the shecats. After a while though, he grew tired of his role and decided to start making courtship challenges. To say everyone was surprised is an understatement, but considering he thoroughly trounced his competition, he has been happily welcomed as a member of the toms. He is now an excellent competitor and is one of the clan's most valued senior warriors. At an old age, he was caught and killed by a coyote during a challenge with Moonspot. Despite not being able to reach retirement, his legacy lives on with him having four grandchildren at the time of his death.
Apprenticed to Raggedclaw, her older half-sister, Flypaw had a lot of promise as a medicine cat apprentice. She was incredibly faithful to Starclan, but didn't have quite as much of a knack for herbs and healing. One day she ate several berries that she thought were for easing slight stomachaches, but it turns out they were used to, in VERY small doses, induce vomiting. She took far more than Raggedclaw would ever use, and ended up killing herself on accident.
Darktail was a righteous fighter, and was always the first to volunteer to chase out rogues and thieves from their territory. This earned him a lot of enemies however, and one day while out on a challenge he was ambushed and killed. It was a death fit for an Oasisclan cat, but his clan didn't take it lying down, eventually chasing down and taking out his murderers.
Lightfoot is a good warrior, but an even better gossip. She's always the first to pipe up when a patrol she's on meets another clan, and is excellent at teasing clan secrets out of their neighbors before running that information back to her leader. While she's perfectly nice to her clanmates, she can't really seem to keep her mouth shut, so most people tend to keep her on an information diet.
Second in command to Raggedclaw, Wetwillow is almost a deputy in her own right. Whereas Raggedclaw's spirituality is much deeper than her own, Wetwillow is excellent when it comes to organization of her clanmates, triage of dangerous wounds and diseases, and keeping a stiff upper lip in the face of danger.
A young warrior when Oasisclan was founded, Jaggedfin is, as of this writing, the oldest living cat in the clan. Despite seeing the deaths of many cats in his lifetime, it hasn't gotten him down. He's been a bright spot of light in Oasisclan's history, always there with a supportive word or a joke. He's been a fantastic father as well, taking on the primary role in raising his daughter, assisting heavily after the birth of his grandchildren, and helping Barkscorch to rein in his rowdy great grandchildren. Despite seeing a lot of loss in his early years, Jaggedfin is relieved to see his clan- and his own family- growing so steadily. As far as he's concerned, he's lived a good life.
At 162 moons old, Jaggedfin finally passed away- leaving Oasisclan with none of its original members left. Despite early tragedy, he lived an amazing life, getting to see his great great granddaughter, Bugpaw, become an apprentice. And yet with his passing, it is the end of an era- Oasisclan has been established, but will it survive and thrive?
A mere apprentice when the clan was founded, Mudspot had been outspoken from day 1. Very stubborn and bullheaded, many joked that she should have been patrolling with the males for all that she thought she should be deputy. Because of this, she became a very respected warrior very quickly. Even though she never showed much interest in being a mother, she didn't have to- Jaggedfin took a shining to her from day one, and the pair had a comfortable relationship. Eventually one of their courtship periods resulted in their single child, Swampmoon, who Jaggedfin raised mostly on his own as Mudspot continued to sort out patrols and argue with whoever the deputy at the time was. Unfortunately, on one patrol she fell into a pool of stagnant water, catching an unknown ailment that the medicine cats couldn't treat, and she passed away after a long battle with the disease.
Swampmoon is the only child that Jaggedin and Mudspot ever had, and was carefully doted on by her father from day one. She was always a little odd however, having no tolerance for the rowdiness of her clan, and preferred solitude when possible. It was a common sight to see Swampmoon standing on the edge of the canyon at night, staring up at the moon in quiet contemplation. Still, when Stormleaf won a courtship period with her she took to her duty gladly, eventually bearing a litter of two kits. The clan thought that their relationship would deepen, but tragedy struck- on one of her lone hunting patrols she was captured by a group of rogues, dragged out of the territory and leaving a trail of violence in her wake. By the time the clan found her, she was dead- but had managed to take down three rogues with her. Despite her quiet nature, Swampmoon was a true Oasisclan fighter till her last breath.
Stormleaf strolled into the clan as an apprentice, insisting that the warriors of the clan take him in. Charmed by a young cat so forward, Flintstar obliged. Stormleaf may not have been born in the clan, but everyone forgot that with how perfectly he fit in. Some even reasoned that he was sent by Starclan, and was undoubtedly second on the list to be deputy should anything happen to Icethorn.
Unfortunately, his life was cut short- he was competing with Olivewing for the hand of his own daughter (he would enter a courtship period with someone else if he won, of course.), Barkscorch. Olivewing had just come off of a humiliating loss to Waterstripe, who had been a mere apprentice at the time, and Stormleaf was planning on going easy on him... but it turned out he didn't need to. For some reason, unknown to the clan, he entered a deep pit in the canyon where a coyote had fallen on one of his challenge patrols... and didn't come back up. His body was found mostly eaten by the coyote, unrecognizeable with the exception of his tail. The clan was horrified and the coyote was killed, but such is life. Though many wonder why he went down there to start with... It's awfully convenient for Olivewing, don't you think?
Chestnutfall joined the clan at an advanced age already, having mere moons befoer she could be considered an elder. Despite that however, she refused to leave, even if she would be exiled again if she couldn't bear any kits in time- she had seen the harshness of the desert, and wanted relief from it if just for a little bit. Despite her attitude however, Stormleaf still won a challenge for the right to court her, and to everyone's surprise she bore a single kit that would later grow up into Waterstripe. Having earned her place in the elder's den, Chestnutfall is taking advantage of the luxury, happy to have finally found a place she can stay for good... while talking the ears off of her fellow elders.
Beepath and Barkscorch were the first kits in the clan to get to know one of their grandparents, and Jaggedfin doted on them from the day they were born- especially Beepath, who greatly resembles her deceased grandmother Mudspot. However, some wonder if he went too easy on them, as Beepath is... a bit of a trainwreck. Under normal circumstances she refused to go on patrol without a group of senior warriors with her, terrified of her life getting cut short. Now that she's an orphan and her sister has been busy raising her kits, she's gotten even worse, most of the time refusing to go outside at all. Her clan has been sympathetic, but many are starting to get frustrated and see her cowardice as an embarrassment and think that she simply needs to try harder, while others insist that she's just grieving and it's perfectly understandable given the circumstances.
(Ironically, in the few instances where she HAS gotten in a fight, she won effortlessly... but it's impossible to even get her in that position to start with.)
Barkscorch has always seemed to go with the flow. While she's not an abject coward like her sister, she's a very easy shecat to push over, and rarely speaks up even when her opinion is asked for. After the death of her father she got even more quiet, going with whatever her mate asked her to do... even though it's taken a bit of a toll on her. After having 2 litters of kits 2 moons apart, she's been run ragged with her responsibilities, but her inability to even ask for help makes most people think she can handle it.
Olivewing joined the clan as an apprentice, dragged in after stealing Oasisclan's prey and obligated to work to replace what he had stolen. He eventually took to clan life and decided to stay, but his attitude hasn't changed much. Thankfully, he was terrible at competitions- losing to notorious coward Shytail and then to a mere apprentice, Waterpaw(Stripe). Sick of losing when he was a cat of such great and unrecognized skill, he vowed to make sure his next challenge was a victory... and sure enough it was, albeit due to his competitor dying. How convenient.
As is traditional, he won the right to court his competitor's daughter, Barkscorch. Many thought the relationship wouldn't go anywhere as his deceased opponent was Barkscorch's father and so she was lost in mourning... but apparently he's doing something right, as they bore two litters and 6 children before their courtship period ended. To say he's feeling incredibly smug is an understatement.
One of Oasisclan's founders. Dapplebreeze was always bloodthirsty and vicious from day one. Admittedly this helped in staking out the clan for themselves, keeping out the riffraff that might take too much prey from the mouths of their own kits, but it was a highly questionable decision to make him deputy. He was a fine warrior, but... a leader...? Most were hoping he would retire before Flintstar died, but to the surprise of many he was ambushed by a coyote while on a patrol. He fought like a hellion against it, but ultimately succumbed to his wounds. Despite his questionable morality, he went out like a true Oasisclan warrior.
Owlleaf was one of the original founders of Oasisclan, and was its oldest member upon founding. Almost immediately however, she was struck by a monster, keeping her from being able to help build the clan. Feeling left out, it made her quite bitter- but Dapplebreeze still courted her, the pair of them finding a lot in common in terms of how much they complained. They bore a single litter of kits before she retired, but even in her golden years she was always looking forward, believing that the clan would come to ruin if she stopped focusing for even a moment. Despite her bitterness however, she died without struggle, passing away quietly in her sleep.
A loyal leader, cool and dry in his personality but with a sharp wit and strong sense of justice. An absolute juggernaut in battle.
And yet, while the clan mourns, there is a sense of lightness to it. Flintstar was everything a leader should be- the quintessential Oasisclan cat. He won every competition he entered in, chased away dogs with a single paw, and fathered multiple litters of kits. And even now, he died not choking on his own blood, but warm, safe, and surrounded by family. There are few better ways to go out, and as he is offered to the vultures, it is with no regret in his peoples' hearts.
As Icethorn watches the last carrionbird fly away with the last of Flintstar's bones, he makes his way down the cliffsides. He walks to the shore of the oasis, the stars sparkling across its still surface. His clanmates gather behind him. And he jumps in. He doesn't hesitate- he can't afford to, with the journey he must take. Swimming as quickly as he can down, down to the center of the oasis, to the black hole at the center of it. Swimming into the cave, through the winding tunnels, his lungs getting tighter and his heart beating faster and faster. Clawing at the stones, twisting in the darkness until finally, he finds the promised entrance, moments from drowning. He bursts above the water, trembling and weakened from the lack of air. Humble for once before the glory of starclan here in The Mooncave. Raggedclaw, the most senior medicine cat, is already waiting for him- they have their own paths to reach this place. Cats like him on the other hand, must show their worth- to let Starclan guide their paws or else be lost in the frigid tunnels forever.
He looks up at the glittering lights above his head, suspended on thin strings of moonlight, but Raggedclaw pushes his head down gently. Sleep now, and be given your lives. He closes his eyes, exhaustion from the day taking over...
And he wakes up screaming in agony from the trials in his dreams.
A leader getting their nine lives is never pleasant, but for Oasisclan, it is especially difficult. The spirits of the dead want to make sure you deserve it. Crouchcall, Owlleaf, Opalsplash, Dapplebreeze, Chestnutcatch, Hopspeckle, Mudspot, and Flintstar all granted him a life- after he challenged them, one last time.
Raggedclaw emerges from the medicine cat den in the morning. She announces to the waiting eyes of Oasisclan- Icethorn died in the tunnels below the oasis. A concerned murmur runs through the crowd, like fire in a summer-parched field.
"And Icestar was born."
She steps aside, and the tom steps into the light, the sun catching on his glossy fur and shiny scars- signs of a life well earned, and ones now reflected in his heart, with starlight catching on them instead of sunbeams.
The collected cats of Oasisclan cheer- welcoming their new leader to the world.
The middle child of the litter, Minnowswoop was always looking to prove himself. On the day he was named a warrior, he promised his father and his leader that he would go out and stake out new territory for Oasisclan. Unfortunately, this supposedly great new patch of land was just past a very busy thunderpath- one that he failed to cross.
Ebonybee was always quite close to his siblings, and when Minnowswoop met his tragic fate, Ebonybee was heartbroken. He set out to the spot of his brother's death every moon afterwards to quietly grieve, and one night a particularly shaky monster swerved off the thunderpath- taking another of Owlleaf's sons before his time.
Storkspots has no desire to rock the boat. Outwardly she's a perfectly nice, friendly cat, but behind the scenes she's carefully observing the clan and its internal politics. A mental dossier of her clanmates runs through her head- who's allying to who, who's going to try what, so on and so forth. Everyone in the clan is a potential enemy... but not a guaranteed one. She's clever, but not paranoid, and is just trying to figure out where her chips should fall if something happens.
Cricketdawn is a bit of an odd cat. Staying up late to sing at the stars, quietly talking to herself. She tends to wonder about things that other cats don't, considering the mechanics of the world and having a rather... unhealthy obsession with fire, running to watch the grass burn whenever lightning strikes. The clan can't deny that her theorie aren't effective however, with her always bringing back mouthfuls of prey that were chased from the flames and developing devastating new fighting moves from her understanding of physics. It's clear she has great things ahead of her, but what they'll be is anyone's guess. The only one that seems to know for sure is Cricketdawn.
Blu is a woman who is determined to get what she wants... if only she could figure out what that is. Dumped on the side of the road by her twolegs, Blue wandered the Oasisclan territory aimlessly before being taken in, insisting that she knew where she was, she just couldn't decide on where to go. She's been like that ever since. She doesn't seem to truly understand or respect clan life, but is harmless enough that everyone just kind of laughs and accepts it as one of her quirks. Despite her confusion, she is fiercely proud of her child, Wetear, and insists he's the best thing since sliced bread. Not that anyone knows what sliced bread is. Kittypet thing, they suppose.
Wetear has spent his life being hyped up by his mother, and is convinced he's a fantastic warrior... even though his skills don't necessarily match up to that. Constantly biting off more than he can chew, Wetear has had to be pulled out of trouble by his clanmates more than once. However, when he's around his father Fernstem he seems to take on a more relaxed attitude, implying that his haughty air is just something that he puts on out of a desire to fit in.
Shytail was originally dragged into the clan by his scruff as a terrified, half-starved apprentice. He worked hard to learn the ropes, but his shy and fearful personality made things difficult for him. Still, he has found his niche in the clan, teaching apprentices the skills that he can't seem to find the bravery to make use of himself. He eventually managed to win a challenge and his quiet, friendly demeanor won over Raggedclaw, eventually leading them to bear a litter during their courtship period.
Stormspeck is smart as an eagle's talons, that's for sure. This shecat has started off her life as a warrior with a bang, effortlessly tracking down prey and coming up with strategies to catch and defeat rogues. Her optimisim is to be admired, and she truly believes there's no challenge her clan can't face. There probably isn't a single cat in the clan that dislikes this young lady.
If you weren't told that Needleshine is Shytail and Raggedclaw's child, you'd never be able to guess. Leaving aside the fact that he looks more like his grandmother Crouchcall than either of his parents, Needleshine is everything his father isn't. Calm, collected, charismatic. He even survived a challenge gauntlet as a mere apprentice, though he didn't win. As time goes on though, he finds his father's antics less and less charming and Shytail is finding a growing distance between the two of them as Needleshine grows more embarrassed of his father. After all, he wasn't even born in the clan- of course he doesn't understand what it means to be a true Oasisclan warrior.
Littlestep is the newest medicine cat, and the most unproven. She originally trained as a warrior, but couldn't stop nosing her way into the medicine cat den to try and learn about herbs. Rather than have a repeat of Flypaw's tragedy, Wetwillow insisted upon training her. Nowadays, she's more than happy to share what she's learned- whether her clanmates like it or not, with her eagerly patching up injuries that they insist are just scratches.
Nettle is a cold, vicious, and generally difficult cat to be around. Her personality is similar to a high school bully's, being petty and snide towards those around her. And yet, despite how she finds everyone else distasteful, she can't seem to find it in her to leave, and most suspect that she cares a lot more than she lets on... but only for those who pass her muster. (Mouse does not pass her muster. She hates that guy. Ugh.)
Mouse is... not the brightest bulb in the box. Most suspect he was sat on too many times as a kit, but he tries his best. He came from a large colony of loners that was dutifully fed by a group of twolegs before most of them were rounded up and taken to a shelter. Mouse overslept and missed it all however, and so wandered off into the wastelands with his best friend Lightning. When they came to Oasisclan, Lightning became Lightningstone, and the two were immediately smitted with Nettle, competing to earn her love. Unfortunately, they were both terrible at it. Mouse only won a single competition. It was the worst thing anyone had ever seen. After Lightningstone died in an accident, misjudging a jump and falling to his death, Mouse was inconsolable and has only doubled down on caring for his loved ones... even if he's not quite sure how that actually works.
Mouse's own fate was met when he went out on a challenge and never came back. Instead, he was found killed by rogues with a circle with a slash through it drawn around him in his own blood- the same sign drawn around Lionpaw when he died. His death only makes the clan more uneasy- making them realize they were being hunted. Mouse was an easy target however- unintelligent and too trusting. But will they learn how to hunt the rest of the clan too?
Mumblehollow kind of had the world against him from the start. His mother was very overworked due to having two large litters back to back, and his father seemed more smitten with the accomplishment that was having six kits more than actually raising them. Thus, when Mumblehollow started falling behind in his studies and seemed to be hitting milestones slower than the other cats... his father challenged him to a competition, seeing an easy victory. Unable to speak properly, Mumblehollow couldn't turn him down.
More recently, the clan realizes his condition for what it actually is- as a blue eyed white cat, Mumblehollow is entirely deaf. He tried to learn how to speak by mimicking the movements of his peers, but communication is difficult both ways. Raggedclaw paid careful attention to him however and slowly but surely taught him and his clanmates a better form of communication, creating a shorthand of messages based on body language- movements of the tail, ears, and paws to communicate certain ideas. It's not the best due to the fact that the clan had to come up with it on the fly, but it has granted Mumblehollow the ability to communicate with his clan. Nowadays he seems a lot happier though still a bit awkward due to missing out on a lot of social interaction in his childhood. Still, things are only looking up for him.
Oaklight is a good guy. Friendly and casual, he's good at smoothing over conflicts between cats, but seems the most loyal to his own family.
With a litter of 6 kits and an overworked mother, Bravestripe took on the position of "leader" from a young age, helping his mother to control his siblings... but mostly bossing them around. He has continued that trend into his adulthood, frequently taking control on patrols but pushing past what other cats are comfortable with and ignoring good advice. Everyone's hoping he'll grow out of it, but... it's not looking too likely. Ultimately, his tendency to push to the dront of the pack was his downfall- but not in a bad way. When a patrol he was in was attacked by a dog, Bravestripe threw himself at it, allowing the rest of his clanmates to get to safety while he was ripped to shreds. An unpleasant, but very brave fate indeed.
Shyheart is a shecat not really built for the outside world. Rather than fighting rogues and driving off foxes, she much prefers the role of a nursery queen, helping the other shecats raise their kits. She's very softspoken and gentle with a tendency to be talked over... unless one is trying to mistreat a kit, in which case she suddenly becomes very firm. Doesn't raise her voice. Doesn't make a fuss. But you ARE going to leave them alone now, ok?
Cicadabranch is a woman who takes after her father, enjoying every sort of dirty trick... but is a great deal more clever than him too. Her favorite technique is to talk down rogues into surrendering or agreeing to leave... and then striking them the moment they have their backs turned, giving them scars to remember her by. She finds this incrediby fun, and doesn't seem to realize there might be consequences for making this many enemies...
Snipcatch is always off in his own little world, seeming to take after his grandmother Swampmoon. He frequently receives messages from Starclan, relaying them to Raggedclaw at length, but seems to also receive messages from... other places as well. He likes to talk to rocks. And trees. And clouds. Apparently the clouds are really funny guys, based on how often he laughs at them. Still, he's quite personable to his clanmates... when they manage to get his attention. Unfortunately, his inability to pay attention led him to his death when he failed to notice a dog during a competition with his brother, Oaklight.
Firspark wandered into the clans one cold moon with her friends Nutberry and Patchheart and her children, Sandpoppy and Frostheart (then just kits). The only remaining members of a clan killed by starvation due to twoleg encroachment, they had no choice but to abandon everything they knew and wander out into the desert. It was against Oasisclan's usual policy to allow in so many loners at once, but they eventually decided to take pity on the smaller group and in turn not inviting any more people into the clan for a while.
Firspark herself has plenty of stories about her younger, more adventurous days but seems a lot more responsible and restrained nowadays. With two children to take care of and her friends' mental states falling apart at the seams, it was up to Firspark to pick up the pieces. Life is better now for her, but the past still haunts her heart and keeps her cautious.
Patchheart wandered into the clans one cold moon with her friends Nutberry and Firspark and her children, Sandpoppy and Frostheart (then just kits). While Nutberry and Firspark seem to have adapted well to clan life, Patchheart has been open about how he doesn't enjoy the prospect of settling in. He insists on spending most of his time with Firspark, Nutberry, and the kids and finds the other toms too rough for his tastes. Many in Oasisclan feel that if he isn't grateful, he is more than welcome to find somewhere else to live... but they also don't want to risk Firspark and Nutberry leaving too, and so put up with his little jabs.

Sandpoppy has adapted well to desert life despite his thick coat. And yet, he hasn't adapted well to clan life. Despite his mother's best efforts, he prefers to spend most of his time alone. In the rare moments you can get him to talk he says he preferred his life out in the desert alone before they came here. It would appear a loner's life is his preference, but he doesn't quite have the drive to leave. Unfortunately, on a lone patrol he was shaken to death by a stray dog.

Frostheart, despite her long furred appearance implying ancestry from outside Oasisclan, remembers nothing but the place she's grown up in. Apprenticed by her mother, she was taught from an early age to get used to life here, and indeed has taken to it with vigor. An excellent and gregarious hunter, she's the life of the party in the clan and can bring a smile to just about anyone's face, easily making up for the grumpiness of her brother.
One of the earliest loners to join Oasisclan with his children, Buzzardkit and Honeykit, one would never be able to guess that Bluefrost wasn't born here. A creature of daring attitude and unending bravery, there are very few challenges he won't leap at and very few dangerous creatures that he won't call "Beauts" for... some reason. A very affable man, he enjoys looking after and mock-fighting kits and apprentices to help them build their skills. A goofy ol' dad.
Tawnyfoot has always been... a bit of a know it all. She enjoys organizing her clanmates, keeping nests neat, and solving conflicts, but gets a bit bratty when people don't immediately follow her orders. She charismatic enough to usually get her way, but is easily frustrated. Still, she's usually the first to notice problems, which makes her valuable... even if she gets a reputation as a tattle-tale otherwise.
Shellspots is an excellent warrior, always looking for a new adventure. He already had done a challenge in his youth and while he lost, he's the first to step up to the plate if something needs fighting. A well rounded and appreciated warrior, very few dislike Shellspots, though it's as of yet unclear if he's cut out for any sort of leadership role...
Being a blue eyed white cat, Berryrun is entirely deaf. However, he is not the first in Oasisclan to be born as such, and so by the time he became an apprentice there was already a pidgin sign langauge in use with several of his clanmates knowing it already. As a result, Berryrun was able to grow up in a far more welcoming atmosphere than other deaf cats in the past. Nowadays he is a skilled warrior, though he prefers to patrol alone as he needs minimal distractions to be able to properly pick out prey without a sense of hearing.
Buzzardfang and his brother Honeynight are rarely seen apart. The two are incredibly close but come off as not incredibly bright, instead preferring to dare each other to do increasingly dangerous things and calling each other "bro" almost constantly. Still, their enormous size and prodigious muscling means they only rarely get hurt. Still, the clan enjoys their presence and their strength makes them valuable members.

Nutberry is a close friend of Firspark and Patchheart, and was the first to suggest leaving. Despite her sweet, calm demeanor she's a strict realist. She's always the first to realize when there's trouble and the first to suggest a way out of it. When others are unsure of what to do, she's the one that provides the tie-breaking vote and pushes people into action. She just wishes she didn't have to do it quite so much- she'd much prefer to relax rather than be a leader figure.
Bugshade is an odd woman. Stormspeck for the most part abandoned her as a kit- having borne a child, she considered her duty to the clan to be finished and the actual caring for the child could be someone else's problem. Her father Mumblehollow stepped up to the plate, raising her as best he could. However, that meant that Bugshade's first language was the sign language he spoke as a deaf cat, with spoken meows coming second. As a result she has a bit of a quirky view of the world, but has been taught by her father how to pick up on its little details. Her days are spent carefully studying even the smallest aspects of the world, and indeed she has a font of knowledge about all the insects of the clan and is happy to tell you all about them.
The child of two members of a lost clan, Moonspot was raised being told stories about people he would never meet. As a result, he came to carefully consider other people- their skills, their histories. Nowadays he's a conscientous tom, soft spoken but always paying attention. His kindness makes him a good teacher and he's played an "older brother" role to many a kit.
Lionpaw was the final kit born of Firspark and Patchheart in their second litter, and despite his small size he had a brave, kind demeanor- always volunteering to take on the troubles of his siblings and fellow apprentices.
At first, no one noticed his absence- the clan is large, it's easy for an apprentice to go unnoticed. But as the patrols went out for the day, the apprentices slowly realized that none of them had gone out with their little yellow friend. Where had he gone? Once the adults were told, the clan went on high alert. No one had seen him leave. There was only one entrance in and out of camp, always under heavy guard. The only place outside of the crater at all is the dirtplace... but sure enough a sign of struggle was seen at the edge.
The best hunters got to work, tracking Lionpaw's scent up and over the wall of the dirtplace, out through the desert, until the scent was of more than just fur. Panic overtook Firspark and Patchheart, his parents, until they found his little body left out in the open, already picked at by crows. He was covered in wounds, having clearly fought back like his namesake. A circle was drawn around it in his own blood, with a slash through it by his head. This was no predator attack- someone had murdered him, with the intention of sending a message.
Firspark, Patchheart, and Nutberry had a conversation with Icestar in private, explaining their fears. They had come here from another group of cats, another clan that had been slowly destroyed by disease and starvation. They slipped away in the middle of the night, fearing that if they stayed they'd become part of the carnage. Firspark had kits after all- she wouldn't risk their lives.
But suppose the clan survived, and was regaining its numbers- their leaving would be a betrayal, and Lionpaw would have been an easy target to make their displeasure known. Nothing can be proven, but Icestar admits its an easy conclusion to be drawn. The rest of their children will be safeguarded- and any rogues entering the territory will be severely punished.
One of the two "Swoop Sisters", Smokeswoop and Shadowswoop are rarely seen apart. Shadowswoop is the more confident of the two with a strong connection to Starclan, easily recognizing signs from the stars above and in the environment to give her clues on what's going to happen next. But... her rather rude personality makes it difficult for her to convince her clanmates of the danger or lack thereof. That's where Smokeswoop comes in- the comparatively shy, meek shecat is more likely to be listened to when she DOES speak up, and most prefer to go through her when they need to communicate something to Shadowswoop. Between the two of them, they almost make a fully functioning cat.

Hareshine is an attentive cat, but one with a great intuitive knowledge as well. Even at an early age, Hareshine had an old soul, somehow bearing knowledge far beyond her years. Even now she is a cat that many of her clanmates go to when they need advice on where to find an herb or handle a particular prey species. That being said, many rumor that she's... not actually Mouse's child. After all she is very intelligent, long furred, and brown, whereas her father is grey, speckled, medium furred, and... not especially intelligent. No one knows if he's noticed but if he has, he doesn't seem to care- he's proud of his odd looking child no matter what.
Snakelilac is a classic Oasisclan cat in personality. She's rambunctious, ready to tussle, and incredibly fit, bounding across the narrow cliffs and up steep walls with ease in pursuit of prey. Despite her fighty personality however, she's not dumb nor cruel- just down to wrestle at all times.
Neither of Willowblaze's parents were particularly involved, and even as he entered his apprentice years he seemed overwhelmed by the presence of other cats. Despite his perfectly amiable personality, Willowblaze simply seems more comfortable on his own, being reluctant to challenge others and spending most of his time sitting in quiet contemplation.
The younger brother of Nettle, both are cats who left Twigclan back in the day as things began to get bad. When Nettle left, he ran off to follow her and the pair traveled around for a while before Black was snatched up by twolegs. He spent years with them, being passed from nest to nest before ultimately being abandoned. Not knowing where else to go, he returned to his former clan... and was promptly chased out. The believed he had betrayed them by leaving all those years ago, and nearly killed him before he was able to drag his way into Oasisclan. Even after revealing Twigclan's treachery and how it was taken over by the thought-dead Weedheart, Black was nearly exiled when he was hit by a monster, failing his gauntlet challenge. With Nettle advocating for him however, he was allowed to remain in Oasisclan, so long as he never takes a mate. He seems to have accepted this place in life.
Fuzzyslip is nothing if not positive and enthusiastic. She loves helping her clanmates and looking after kits, but many fear that she's not quite realistic enough. In her mind there are very few who would seek to do others harm, and despite seeing what became of her brother Lionpaw, she seems convinced that nothing bad could truly happen here, with Oasisclan being a safe haven in a dangerous world. Endlessly chipper and optimistic, her attitude is most appreciated but occasionally grates on her clanmates.
Greysight's problems started early. Even as an apprentice it because clear that he needed more help than his fellow students. For some reason, he just couldn't make the same jumps or line up prey properly before it fled. After examination by the medicine cats, it became clear that he was at least partially blind, his vision faded and unable to differentiate between colors. His mentor, Bugshade, leapt at the opportunity to help him. Her father being deaf, he had similar problems growing up and she was ready to try and help him. Now Greysight is a warrior and ostensibly a success, fully capable of keeping pace with his peers... but there still lies a deep seated insecurity in his chest that someday his abilities will fail entirely, and he can often be seen practicing late into the night to try and keep up.
Skyspots has inherited her mother's skill in battle, but despite what her name would suggest has her head out of the clouds and firmly on the ground. An intense realist, Skyspots gives little thought to the afterlife or mythology and instead focuses on what she can affect directly. This has sometimes gotten her scolded for a lack of respect for Starclan, but she brushes it off with little thought- if Starclan was truly interested in their lives, they'd be a bit more obvious about their prophecies.
Unlike her sister, Fringeshine's belief in Starclan is strong and unshakeable. After an intense fever as a child, she has always claimed to see the spirits of Starclan, though it's difficult to say if this is the truth or if she's just trying to manipulate others to get her way. After all, she was the one who rejected the calling to become a medicine cat- implying that a connection with Starclan isn't all that she desires.
Emeraldmoon is the younger sibling of the Swoop sisters and is frequently bullied by them in a siblingesque fashion. Despite this however, he is easily one of the most laidback members of the clan. Softspoken and polite, he's always willing to lend a hand or advise people on what Starclan might do.
The first of a large litter, Sagestream has always felt a little left behind. While she's good at fighting, so is everyone else in the clan, leaving her feeling a little... generic. Nothing special- she doesn't even have a beautiful coat like other members of the clan, bearing the plain pale blue of her mother. Alas, she seems a bit doomed to mediocrity.
Rowanfur is so quiet, it's easy to forget he's there. But he is. Instead, he chooses to reserve his words for when they're truly necessary, speaking up only when he has something insightful to say. It's a rare occasion and it doesn't exactly make him a good candidate for leadership, but patrol leads can be sure that he'll obey commands and follow them skillfully.
Sagestream's sister, Sapphiretail has always been inseparable from her littermates... sometimes to an extreme degree. She's very clingy and chatty, trying to make herself known amongst a sea of cats. Her most recent venture has been in gemstones- every time they go out, Sapphiretail always seems to bring back some sort of shiny rock, decorating her nest with them. If she can't get toms to challenge each other for any physical traits of hers, then at least she can try and lure them in with pretty trinkets.
Adderdust stands out the most from his siblings, but mostly for his sense of humor. While he knows better and has a level head on his shoulders in emergencies, in common areas he just can't seem to help starting fights. He has a cutting sense of humor, jabbing right into his opponents emotional weak points. This earns him a lot of enemies in the clan, but others are relieved to see some people who deserve it getting taken down a notch... even if they cuff Adderdust's ears for the trouble.
Like his parents, Cougarfoot is a strong, confident young man. Many have pegged him as one to watch out for- his self-assuredness has led him to take control of several patrols already, but not to the point of egoism. Indeed, it just seems like he enjoys helping out his clan.
Vineeyes is Cougarfoot's brother, but isn't... QUITE as charismatic as him. Despite being slightly better in a fight, he just can't seem to get the upper hand over Cougarfoot in any social situations. He seems to take this in stride though, being resigned to second place. After all, second place is still above everyone else but one... or so he tells people.
